Scenes from an Italian Restaurant - Partial Reversal

- Old Building - Ogden, Utah USA.Partial deliberate Sabattier reversal. This is my 4th attempt at reversal -- with only partial effect. I was struggling to allow longer development because I had a problem wrapping my head around the fact that the picture had to reverse - all that light negative had to go dark.

Difficult. This is a negative reversed in post process Extensive fogging.

 

Shot with 1932 pre-anniversary speed graphic 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 quarter plate rangefinder with a leitmeyr 18cm 180mm lens at f/6.

 

This is not a night shot this is what happened when I reversed it. A lot of funky shit happening with the Sabattier effect and partial reversal.

 

Developed in Kodak DK-20 high contrast developer:

 

Water 125F/52C 750ml

Metol 5g

Sodium Sulfite (anhydrous) 100g

Balanced Alkali 2g

Potassium Thiocyanate 1g

Potassium Bromide 0.5g

Cold water to make 1000ml

 

Reversal effect was to shoot at slightly higher ISO / faster exposure. Development shortened from 15 minutes to 10.5 minutes (70 percent) Metered at 1/8 second, Shot at 1/10 to lessen exposure. 1 Second flash at 6 minutes shortened final development for some reason.

 

1 second flash seems closer than 2 seconds.

 

Purpose? Fun and challenging.
