Incoming Puffin
Past visits to Skomer to photograph Puffins in-flight have resulted in lots of misses and if I'm lucky, perhaps two or three good ones at the end of a whole day taking photos. A trip yesterday to Skomer (with Jan) resulted in 46 sharp, useable in-flight puffin pictures. What made the difference? - a small piece of plastic sellotaped to my lens hood.
See the picture of it a few photos back in this stream, it enabled me to center the puffins whilst still seeing the whole sky, previously I'd had a great job with a 400mm lens in finding the birds in the viewfinder in time.
