Miles
Saka (slope) Bus is a local bus going from the downtown Nada Ward to the residential area in the foot of Mt. Maya. (Yes! our girl, Maya’s name is come from this local mountain!)
Last year the bus company was facing financial difficulties because of the pandemic.
So the passengers and local bus fans launched a foundation.
And they started to decorate the bus body with the photos of contributors.
I mailed a photo of Miles to the foundation when I made a donate.
Because Miles was born (or abandoned) at the Takao Park near the Saka Bus route.
It is a fun to imagine (the photo of) Miles drives his hometown slowly and slowly!
神戸市灘区の市街地と摩耶山のふもとの住宅街を結ぶ「坂バス」。
昨年来のコロナ禍で利用者が激減し、存続さえ危ぶまれていました。そこで地元の利用者と坂バスファンが路線存続に向けた基金を立ち上げました。寄付者の顔写真がバスのボディに飾られるというオマケつきで。
私は寄付時に迷わずマイルスの写真を送りました。
マイルスは坂バスのルートの近くにある高尾公園で保護されました。
マイルスの写真が飾られたバスが、ゆっくりゆっくりと彼の故郷を走る。その光景を想像しただけでも楽しくなります！
