Boss is Gone...

Cha the Cat (2007-2020)

with Miles

Our Boss.

Former "Ruler" of Yamato Park.

The successor of Hatch's territory.

The Boss Cha crossed the Rainbow Bridge like gently sleeping on 23:00 October 14, 2020 (Japan Standard Time).

A summer evening in 2007, I was feeding my dear Hatch boy, the Boss of the Yamato Park at the time, then a cloud dust boiled into the air under my eyes.

What was happened!?

I found a kitten was dancing on the dusty ground.

Then Hatch didn't mind and was eating dinner calmly, not scolding, not turning him out...

It was THE encounter.

After the day, a little orange boy came every evening with Hatch.

Hatch began to give his leftovers to him.

I and my wife understood Hatch introduced me a new comer.

We named him Cha, meaning “brown color” in Japanese.

Cha grew up eating Hatch's leftovers.

And we had fed him every night for six years even after I brought Hatch to my home.

Cha had came to our “Promised Place” in the Park even under the burning sunshine or stormy weather.

After Hatch’s death, we decided him to welcome to our home.

Cha had been called as “The Violent Orange” among the local cat-caregiver society then.

No one could touch to him (even us).

“The Violent at Yamato Park is now a Satoru’s family member!”

That was a hot topic of cat lovers in our town.

The Violent turned to a family man in my home.

He loved younger cats, The Late Kashmir, Momo, Miles, Miesha and admired the old ladies like Miho and Shiichan.

First five years at my home might be the happiest time in Cha’s whole life.

One day in last September, we were suprised to find Cha’s left legs were not working.

We brought him to the hospital. The doctor said something had happened and damaged his nerve.

But the next day, we were surprised once again.

He became to walk by four legs slowly.

A year passed. Cha has lost weight and, the doctor said, maybe lost the sight of left eye. But he walks around, eats foods constantly and goes to toilet without any support.

Until the end of life, he had been our BOSS.

But AIDS caused the harsh stomatitis. His appetite diminished further.

And Wednesday evening, he finally decided to liberate herself on his most favorite bed while being watched over by me and my wife.

We miss you, Cha.

But tons of beautiful memories you gave me.

Please visit to “Your Master” Hatch, “Lovely Brother” Kashmir, “Respected Queens” Shiichan, Miho and many cats of flickr friends all over the world in Heaven.

You are always our Boss.

We really love you.
