This was a cooking experiment by my friend María, slightly based on (or rather, inspired by) what she'd heard of as Merluza a la marinera (Spanish recipe). It was an experiment because she didn't read any recipe prior to cooking. Instead, she just came up with this :-)

 

And this photo is me experimenting with food photography. I just took advantage of her work to practice lessons learned from this tutorial from webos fritos. If you know of any good tutorial on food photography, please share!

 

I love cooking too, but I'm by far not the best cook at home. For the time being I'll focus on shooting (and eating ;-) what others cook. When I get comfortable with the shooting, I'll try to do the cooking as well.
