Sunlight at last.
On some days out on the Scottish hills the weather doesn't play ball. Come to think of it that has happened a good deal.
This picture dates back to 2004 and is the first I have uploaded from a day when we hiked four Munros above Glen Lyon. I believe the rounded lump seen catching a rare burst of sunshine was Carn Mairg where we had been an hour earlier. From what I recall this was the only glimpse of sun we came across all day. Days like this when the clouds descend do wonders for your map reading skills.
A few stars from the day were, Distance 17.5km / 11 miles, Time 7 - 8 hours ofd hiking (not including time resting) Ascent 1302m or 4,200 feet.
