47847 Glasgow Central 07.05.15
Locomotive hauled workings are pretty rare in Glasgow, so I took the advantage last night to take a look at the London sleeper service in Glasgow Central. 47847 had brought the empty stock from Polmadie whilst 92044 was on the other end to take the train south.
It was good to see this old Brush 4 looking smart and still earning its keep. This locomotive emerged from the Brush works in Loughborough in 1964 and at one time was based at my local depot of Healey Mills (then numbered 47179). It is fair to say that despite being a couple of months younger than I it has aged far better.
Thanks must go out to another photographer (Jack) who loaned me the use of his tripod.
