5D Mark II meets 5D Mark III

I've been anxiously awaiting this camera for some time now. I knew I wanted to be completely full-frame (my 7D couldn't measure up to my 5D mark 2 as far as image quality) so the fact this new model came out when it did was perfect. I haven't had much time with my new addition yet but it will be my primary body so the initial changes won't be a big of deal as I learn to make the controls my own. There has been a lot of "bad" press about the high price of the body but I've weighed it all out and examined my motives as distinctly NON-impulsive so I'm happy with my purchase. No buyer's remorse here!

Immediate likes:

silent shooting mode! (sooo quiet!)

Image quality at high ISOs.

Improved ergonomics.

construction

AF points galore (This is going to make my life so much easier)

Immediate dislikes:

The lack of support in Lightroom 4 (the curse of the early adopter)

New zoom method while reviewing images (I'll get used to it)

The way the new button configuration affects my technique on macro shots (I set up a custom button function so I'm good now.)

The lack of a battery grip (I'll get it as soon as it's out but it's throwing me off!)
