beginning in Beaune

the four day bike trip started in beaune, the wine capital of burgundy. from there we headed north-west into the heart of the côte-d'or. it was cloudy and slightly drizzling, but we had to go up a rather large hill (like mount tamalpais in the bay area), so I didn't mind, the natural cooling system.
