IMG_5202 Novell EISA 10Mpbs Ethernet Adapter, 1989.

Other than cards for VME, this is the largest 10Mbps ethernet adapter I have ever seen. It was probably hot shit at the time: it has an actual 186 CPU on it (in 1989 that was still a big deal too). Quite likely this board ran an entire IPX stack, offloading the protocol work from your NetWare file servers.

 

I'm tossing most of my arcane computer parts collection, but this one's a keeper. (At least until I can find someone else to archive things like this. By which I mean unload all my pre-Internet computer crap onto.)
