Crab nebula

Messier 1, also known as Crab nebula, is a supernova remnant in Taurus. The supernova was seen on earth on 1053 and the remnant was found in 1731. The core has a fast spinning neutron star, and it generates a spiral structure visible with very fast instruments.

 

LRGB image with 10 and 20 minute exposures. Total integration time approx 1,5h per channel.
