Blue tit building a nest

Everyone has probably encountered the blue tit at some point. She is also a guest in our gardens as soon as there are a few older trees. She also likes to stay in flocks at feeding grounds. You can even observe a regular routine with them, in which the time of day and the sequence of feeding places remain roughly the same. At the bird feeder, blue tits often attract attention with their cheeky behavior and occasionally get into small arguments with other bird species. For their nests, blue tits look for caves that they line with animal hair and moss, but they also like to use nesting boxes. I also hope to document the rearing of the new birds and post them on Flickr.

Blaumeise beim Nestbau

Die Blaumeise ist wohl jedem schon mal begegnet. Sie ist auch in unseren Gärten zu Gast, sobald dort ein paar ältere Bäume stehen. Außerdem hält sie sich gerne in Scharen an Futterplätzen auf. Man kann bei ihnen sogar eine regelrechte Routine beobachten, bei der die Tageszeit und die Abfolge der Futterstellen in etwa gleich bleiben. Am Futterhäuschen fallen Blaumeisen oft durch ein freches Verhalten auf und geraten hin und wieder in kleine Streitereien mit anderen Vogelarten. Für ihre Nester suchen sich Blaumeisen Höhlen, die sie mit Tierhaaren und Moos auspolstern, sie nehmen aber auch gerne Nistkästen an. Ich hoffe auch die Aufzucht der neuen Vögel zu dokumentieren und sie in Flickr zu veröffentlichen
