After the sun goes down, we sing the blues
I was originally going for an HDR here but found it to be a pain because the boats moved in between shots. It turned out that I didn't need one because these colors are pretty much what came out of the camera in a single shot. I did not enhance the colors in PS, I only tweaked the white balance in LR until it showed what my eye saw that night. I like the colors on the boats - warm from the lighting on the dock, and the cool blue tones of the sky. I used manual exposure and manual focus (geek note).
I've also quickly learned that a lot of people offer to pose if you have a camera in your hand. A guy in the "Superboat" on the left even offered to take off his clothes and pose. That was my cue to pack up the camera for the night. Some things, I just don't want to see! ;-)
