Smoke this!
If it was possible, this smoke would be coming out of ME right now - for the third night in a row, my ISP, Cablevision, has stopped working for at least 6 hours. I've been on hold for the past half hour so I can speak to a supervisor because I'm getting nowhere with their "techs" (and I use that term loosely!)
Ok, I spoke to a supervisor who gave me another runaround. Verizon's triple play deal is looking good right now. Cable is really quick to answer their phones if you're a new customer but once your signed up and have a problem, good luck getting someone to help you on the phone with Cablevision. They keep blaming my router because if it *is* my router, then Cablevision isn't responsible. Grr! Funny thing is, my neighbor works for Cable and she can't stand them either.
So... Happy Friday, everyone! I hope your weekend doesn't smoke you! I'll be catching up with my flickring today (unless the cable craps out again and it better not!) . Have a great weekend, everyone and stay warm if you're in the cold areas like me - or send me some warmth if you live in a warm place :-D
**** A quick update - I've been able to get online for a few minutes at a time, then I get kicked right off *sigh*. Rebooting my modem and router sometimes helps, sometimes it doesn't. Cable is supposed to come tomorrow. Wish me luck and I'll catch up with you all as soon as I can!
