Horsehead nebula
First attempt to shoot one of the most famous nebula, the Horse Head of Orion. Integration of 31 minutes of exposure at 300 mm, with variable ISO between 2.500 and 10.000. Single shots of 1 minute each, with the Pentax K3-III and its Astrotracer v.3, that follows the apparent stars movement using the internal sensor stabilization system, without the use of a GPS unit.
It's the first time I try the new Astrotracer, so there is big room for improvements. 60 seconds of tracking at 300 mm without external, heavy and expensive mounts is simply amazing, even if not perfect (next time I'll try 50 seconds instead).
Pentax K3-III with Pentax DA*300/4.
Two hours at -8 degrees, with the feet in the snow, but it was worth, because this is one of my childhood desire :-)
