Moret-sur-Loing
Dans les pas d'Alfred Sisley…
In 1882, Alfred Sisley moved to Moret-sur-Loing, drawn to the lovely setting of this little town on the banks of the Loing river. Here, over the last twenty years of his life, Sisley often painted the village, as well as the river and the canal that runs alongside it. This period resulted in many of the painter’s celebrated works, like The Bridge at Moret (1893), The Lane of Poplars at Moret sur Loing (1890) and The Loing Canal (1892), today exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay.
