LEGO Spider-Man: No Way Home - Green Goblin

Holy hell apparently it’s been like 8 months since I first previewed this guy. Totally insane…I finished him and posted it on Patreon in like March.

Only just now getting around to finally showcasing gobby, and it’s nice to revisit him to finally share with you guys. The figure was only made possible by @shamrock_minifigures, as he was kind enough to go out of his way in assembling another kit for me in 2022. The craftsmanship and consideration that goes into his work is just really cool. I was continually impressed by the thoughtfulness of the kit as I worked on it. From the magnetic arms to the glider’s various pin attachments…it’s just very well done.

As you guys well know, I play long game here, so finally finding the right primer and getting to paint it all up was rewarding. Painting the repetitive lines on the arms/legs though…that kind of sucked. Weaving designs like that through preexisting armor pieces or around the sides of legs is unpleasant. The greens used here were my own mix and I really tried to maintain a balance of definition throughout the figure.

Glider isn’t totally accurate (especially on the bottom) and I took a few creative liberties that I just thought would look better color-wise. Pumpkin bombs have a middle center green ring that shouldn’t wrap all the way around like that—but by the time I had figured it out I had stopped caring.

Anyway, Goblin’s helmet is by @inputbrick, another great printed piece I had been hanging onto for a couple years for the occasion. Scored the excellent pad printed Norman Osborn likeness from @phoenixcustomsllc’s collab with @the_ka.lor_project. Finally, the custom hairpiece is from @firestartoys and painted by me.

There’s some glove detail here too you can’t see. Definitely check out the showcase video when it’s up to see this guy in full—especially for the glider & its stand!

Fall 2024 should be a little less intense for me so I’m really trying to squeeze in more time for YouTube stuff so I can continue the work. Really need to get customizing again.

Let me know what you think if you read this for some reason.

Thanks.
