I've always liked this picture. Beach goers feel a sense of solitude here because the beach is wide and the dunes are nearly 40 feet.
Marconi Beach is named for the famous Italian inventor, Marconi. From here, Marconi successfully completed the first transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903.
