R0010067-WALL-E Precursor

If you've seen Pixar's animated movie WALL-E, the Nikon Coolpix 4500 will look familiar. Although it pre-dates Pixar's cute rubbish compactor by some eight years; and is much-loved in the field of Birding and and Digiscoping, (due to its robust body-mounted 28mm Accessory-Lens/filter thread), this 2004 4-Megapixel Digicam has got a similar metal construction and swivel-eyed stance, as WAL-E the Rubbish-munching Robot Rover. So we teamed it up with an all-metal Special Edition Nikon Micro-Tripod, and its original Japanese-printed Nikon Warranty Card. The Coolpix 4500 is famous for its rugged Magnesium-Alloy body and its close-focus Macro Magic, mainly because it can be set to continuously Auto-focus its 4X Optical Zoom lens though-out its 38-155mm range. This 4500 was recently discovered "hidden" within the London Camera Exchange's used list & was "tagged" from the Lincoln Branch for a silly sale-price of £34.99p!"

A 7-Megapixel RICOH R5 was used for this Date-tagged nicely-mixed Flash and Tungsten-lit Macro shot.
