The Old Courthouse at Gateway Arch National Park
This is the last of my Gateway Arch photos, taken while on a business trip to St. Louis.
The Old Courthouse is known for having "hosted" the first two infamous Dred Scott cases. Today it is more of a museum, and is currently undergoing renovation, as you can see if you look closely. I like how the Arch frames the dome of the courthouse.
I was astonished by the light at the moment of this shot – the sun was setting behind me on the opposite side of the reflection you see in the photo, and, strangely, the light was reflecting off a glass building and onto the courthouse and the Arch. Amazing.
