The Ton van de Venplein used to be great location during the Winter Efteling with a fire place. During the Summer Nights there was special entertainment. In the Summer of 2022 a large green elf swing was placed where both guests could sit downstairs but at certain times of the day an elf could be found in the highest swing, waving to everyone below.

Ton van de Venplein
The Ton van de Venplein is a square adjacent to the Sint Nicolaasplaets, where Droomvlucht, Raveleijn and Villa Volta can be found.
It was laid out in 1992 as the square for the new Droomvlucht attraction. At the time, it consisted of a large round square, tiled with clinker bricks, with two flower beds in the inner ring and a straight path towards the entrance of the new dark ride. Lampposts with spherical lamps and some wooden benches could be found here. In 1996, with the opening of Villa Volta, the garden for this attraction was brought into contact with the square.
On January 31, 2003, the square got its name. As a tribute to the creative director Ton van de Ven, who then took early retirement, this square, where two of his greatest creations can be found, was named after him. A wooden post with a small sign with the name was placed in the flower field on the north side of the path.
In 2011, the entire square was redesigned. There was a small rotunda, tiled in a cobbled pattern, in which a graceful shape can be discovered.
