In addition to the preparatory work for the construction of the Grand Hotel, the House of the Five Senses was also renovated. Especially the thatched roof. Hence the huge building scaffolding.

Huis van de Vijf Zintuigen

The House of the Five Senses is the main entrance to the Efteling, built mainly from wood and reeds. The organically shaped building, designed by Ton van de Ven, was ready on 25 September 1995 and officially opened at the start of the 1996 season.

Under the majestic hood with high pointed points are housed: various separate checkout blocks, an office, a toilet block, the Guest Service, the Efteldingen store and above the store the Efteling Kids Radio studio. The House of the Five Senses is equipped with a corresponding fairy tale, inspired by the Efteling and edited by writer Wim van der Oest.
