Tiki Waka - Walibi Belgium (Belgium)

Tiki Waka 23/05/2021 14h23

The bobsled coaster built by Gerstlauer is almost 3 years old when I took this photo from the waiting area.

Tiki Waka

Tiki Waka is a Bobsled Coaster, a rollercoaster type with small trains for four people. The track contains a combination of elements of a wild-mouse roller coaster, curves and many airtime hills.

Since April 7, 2018, visitors have been able to try out the roller coaster during soft-openings. In the meantime, thematization and the like have been further completed. The official opening followed two months later, on 9 June.

The attraction is built on the former location of La Coccinelle, which in turn is relocated to the former location of La Grande Roue. Construction already started during the Halloween event in 2017. The Keverbaan was dismantled at the end of September and removed from the location and the Gold River Adventure pond was drained, after which construction work started. The first track shares were placed on 30 January. The name of the roller coaster was announced on February 15, during a site tour for the press and invited guests. The last track was placed on 1 March. Tiki Waka is part of the new Polynesian theme area Exotic World.

There are 5 trains on the track. These are separate carts that can each carry 4 people, in 2 rows of 2.
