Boeing 737-900 KLM

Buitenveldertbaan | Boeing 737-900 KLM 31/03/2015 12h25

A hard landing of the 737-900 of KLM after two go arounds (aborted landings) due to the storm in Netherlands. It took the machine about 25 minutes to land at Schiphol Airport including two failed attempts. This aircraft came from CDG (Paris) as flight KL1228 and at Schiphol there was only one landing strip available due to the wind. The Buitenveldertbaan landing strip (code 09-27) was built in the late 1960's and has a length of 3450 meters and a width of 45 meters.

Plane spotters gathered to the Plane Spotters Place near McDonald's Schiphol Noord to see the spectacular landings and some 'go arounds'.
