[EXOSUIT] Iǫtunn

Built for the PhLUG (Philippine LUG) Spacetember September 2014 challenge.

The Iǫtunn is a conceptual assault type Exosuit that was originally designed for security escort missions on unexplored planets.

 

While the original Exosuit design was more of a functional piece of machinery, the Iǫtunn was equipped with increased armor plating and is equipped with a twin laser gatling gun on each arm.

Build Notes:

The original challenge for this build was to recreate / reinvent the existing LEGO Exosuit into a self-design.

 

Being more of a weaponized mech builder, I decided I wanted a sleeker, more assault-looking Exosuit that retained the overall shape and proportions of the original but showed an updated / upgraded look.

 

While I'm not really fond of creating mechs that have a minifig pilot, I'm pretty happy with the look of this. It was a real fun challenge to fit a pilot in there while still retaining the bulky feel I wanted :D
