The Manor House South Kyme
I have been nominated by Bella Lisa to do the B&W challenge for 5 days - this is #4. My fourth nominee is kpfsardou.
My fourth submission is a shot showing the west front of South Kyme Manor, an English Heritage grade II listed building, described in their listing as follows:
House. Early C18 with later additions. Coursed limestone ashlar and brick with ashlar dressings. Plain tile and pantile roofs, with ashlar coped gables and 2 ashlar gable stacks. Chamfered plinth. Double range plan. The front range of ashlar with a plain tile roof, the rear range of brick with a pantile roof. 2 storey plus attics. 5-bay north front has central doorway, with early C19 projecting gabled porch, of brick with ashlar front, and ashlar coped gable with kneelers. Chamfered 4-centred arched doorway with C20 double doors, inner doorway has 6-panel door. Either side are 2 glazing bar sashes with ashlar lintels with keystones. Above are 5 glazing bar sashes with plain ashlar lintels. The west double gabled front has a C20 2-storey bay window to the right with above a small casement, and in the apex of the gable a small coat of arms.
