this rest area appeared both on our atlas and the gps, but had very obviously been out of service for some time, with grass growing through what little faded blacktop remained on the decaying pull-through. even so, it was getting late, there was not a closure or no-trespassing sign, and it was a truly lovely, quiet spot, so we spent the night.
