The Hills, They are Hollow and Home to the Fae.

A fairy house and feast! I've had this idea, floating about in my head, for a while now — however, actually putting it into action required a bit of planning. Firstly, I needed quite a lot of moss which, after the long dry summer, was in short supply. Once I found a suitably abundant source, I then needed to do some construction which, in turn, required a surprisingly large number of twigs. Several hours work, with twigs, cardboard, a saw, some secateurs and a hot glue gun were required to make the house front and furniture. Oh, and I hand wove a tiny basket out of reeds; hammered a miniature copper plate (which is barely visible) and fashioned tiny bowls out of acorn cups, half cherry pits and walnut shells. On the day of the shoot, all this had to be assembled into a landscape of moss, blending the rocks and building together. Shot is a digital composite of 4 exposures — 3 bracketed and one backlit with a blue tinted LED light to simulate moonlight. Comped together in Affinity Photo with fire and moon added in. Title is from a song, by Damh the Bard.
