Tales from the Potting Shed
Today is the first day of spring and the sun is actually shining. The daffodils have burst into flower and the snowdrops are still going strong. Had some fun composing this shot — the 'set' is comprised of a surface made from recycled pallets; the background is a rotten old gate scavenged from the allotments and the shelf is a random plank of wood found when out walking. The shelf adds an extra layer of height with which to build up the composition — then just a 'simple' matter of adding and positioning the hundred or so individual elements! Taken with a polarising filter to enhance colour depth and reduce the glare — really brings out the tones on the wood and ceramic elements. Logos removed.
