Amazing Aurora Borealis, Skogafoss Waterfall, Iceland

 

I have decided that the northern lights are like number 6 buses. You wait a week for one to turn up and two come along on two consecutive nights lol.

 

So yesterday afternoon, I collected my group from the airport and ventured east to Skogafoss. We stay at the Skogafoss Hotel due to it being a two minute walk to the waterfall in the hope that should an aurora become visible, that we would be in prime position to reach it first. Last night that decision proved correct for the aurora sure came out and put on a mighty fine show.

 

As a workshop leader, I always find that the pressure to provide the best experience for your clients lifts should you happen to see and shoot the northern lights on the first evening of five. It means that I can relax now knowing that they have all experienced one of the most incredible natural wonders of the world.
