'Retired', Lower Heswall, Wirral, UK
Lower Heswall is located on the west side of the Wirral coastline and while the estuary can be extremely dangerous in parts, it does offer the landscape photographer plenty of opportunities to capture some beautiful images of old and washed up boats on dry baked cracked mud lined sections of the estuary.
These are the sort of places I love to spend a few hours in. Wandering around with the camera and tripod in hand and a bag on my back looking at a million different compositions and angles, searching for the perfect one. I find this old red boat sat on an angle with the interesting patterns on the ground surrounding it. The tide was receding quickly so I had to move fast in order to capture the water in situ. I just about managed it.
