Sunset Reflection over Mount Rainier [Explore]

Mount Rainier is the highest peak in the Cascade Range, a long range of volcanic mountains that stretches from Washington through Oregon to northern California. Its considered an active volcano, with its last eruption in 1894. Rainier erupted over a dozen times in the last 2,600 years, with the largest eruption 2,200 years ago.

I took this shot from reflection lake, which has some of the most iconic views of Mt. Rainier in the park. Summer and fall, sunrise and sunset, it is perhaps the single-most photographed view for both budding and experienced photographers, who return again and again.
