Palouse Falls

I drove about 2 hours and 100 miles to capture Palouse Falls at sunset, and only passed through one city of any significance. I was otherwise surrounded by the vast nothingness of eastern Washington. Driving the equivalent in England would have taken me all the way to south London, through 4 counties and passing dozens of cities and towns. All of England, Wales and N. Ireland is about the same size as Washington State (actually a bit smaller), but there are 58 milliion people as opposed to 7 million in Washington. Interesting perspective. This is why they say “In America, 100 years is a long time. In England, 100 miles is a long way”.
