My first selfie
Get pushed R9 & 272|365
For round 9 of Get Pushed, I was paired with Alan. You should check out his stream; Alan has a flickr collection of close to 9,000 photos and a very diverse one too. As you can imagine, setting him a PUSH was a challenge in itself.
After his initial challenge which I couldn't have managed in the time scale, Alan's challenge to me was: My backup challenge is quite simple - a self-portrait. I have lots; I couldn't see any of you. You seem good at taking pictures of other people, so work your magic on yourself :)
Any format you like.
This is one of the things I knew was bound to happen if/when I joined the GetPushed group. In any case, I've got a birthday coming up in a couple of days and decided to go for it - I call it a "record of age". :-)
Here's one of the results after some trials and quite some photoshopping! :-) I really couldn't stand seeing myself in colour, but I managed to process the b&w so that it sorta works! I must admit, after carrying out this challenge I appreciate more those who take a lot of selfies! I always thought it was a trivial exercise, but now I know it takes tremendous skill!
Alan, I hope this meets your PUSH! Thanks man.
