Step 14, you can kiss my ass

I skipped the step that said to unplug the microphone and power cables, as it was nearly impossible to pull them out of the socket without tugging on their cables, which would possibly pull the socket out of the logicboard completely and fuck the whole thing up.

 

Instead, I left these two connected and just propped the upper case up next to the lower case using a battery (and a roll of tape) for stability.
