Grande Arche de la Défense

Looks much better from the outside than inside. You should under no circumstances pay the EUR 7.50 (2004) to get inside. Interesting though that this landmark project was trusted to a Danish architect Johann Otto von Spreckelsen. Apart from The Great Arch Spreckelsen is only known in Denmark for 4 churches. He died 1987, 2 years before the Arch was finished.
