Benholm's Lodging
The city council proposed its total demolition but the resultant public backlash forced it to be rebuilt in Seaton Park. Nicknamed 'Wallace Tower' since William Wallace was reputed to have stayed there once, even though it was built in the late C16th - many, many years after his death. It (and much of the surrounding street network) was replaced by a Marks & Spencers, despite its category B listing.
