Wolverhampton Corporation: 707 707CDA 1963 AEC Reliance 2MU3RA Park Royal B40D in Victoria Square Bus Station
Apart from a few for welfare use, Wolverhampton purchased no single deckers between 1950 and 1963. By then there was no suitable Guy model in production, so for the first time AEC's entered the fleet.. Later four Renowns and six Swifts were acquired, but after that the Corporation bus services were absorbed into WMPTE.
The knowledgeable will have noticed that the photos in this set were actually taken shortly after WMPTE had formally come into existence and you can just make out the 'N' that has been added to the fleet number to distinguish a Wolverhampton vehicle.
