PTT Switzerland: TI6841, a contractor's Vetter, at the former Tesserete Station
The town of Tesserete, about 8km due north of Lugano, was for many years connected to that city by a light railway. The railway was replaced by a bus service in 1967 that operates to this day as ARL. The station building in Tesserete has survived, however. and is now the bus terminal for the town where in addition to ARL the PTT offers a remarkable number of services to Lugano and surrounding communities
