Happy Furry Friday!!
You didn't think Barney was sane did you? I hope not, because he's completely nuts :) This shot is far more representative of his general character than those where he is looking cuddly, or even where he's posing dramatically on a hilltop. He's been compared to "Lassie" in some of his more dramatic moments, but believe me, he'd be the one who pushed Timmy down the well (accidently, I hasten to add!), not saving him... he'd then probably jump in after Timmy, just for the fun of it!! I don't know how he manages to look so sane in many of his photos, when he actually looks like this most of the time!
He spends most of our walks careering around the fields in massive circles, taking huge leaps over non-existent ditches, trying to catch imaginary squirrels, attacking trees in a vain attempt to find said imaginary squirrels, trying to catch less imaginary balls, making mad jumps off ceiling high ledges on the hills, running straight up trees, throwing himself into water and occassionally having head-on collisions with large stationary objects... It's no wonder he's cost more in vet's bills in the last 1 and 1/2 years than Dilly has in 7!! We have a lot of fun together, he is an amazingly entertaining dog :)
Happy Furry Friday everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :D
