19/52 Collieflower
Spring came late this year (or perhaps it has been early the past couple of years?) & as result all the wild flowers are in a hurry to bloom & have come out almost at once. Walking through the woods is like walking through a beautiful painting. Even on a rather murky day, there is colour everywhere at the moment - a lovely mix of greens, blues & whites, with splashes of pinks & yellows in between.
Flynn was initially slightly sceptical about posing in amongst these flowers. First he thought there might be brambles hidden among them (he has very thin fur on his paws & hates to tread on anything spiky - which I can't really blame him for!) & then he heard a dreaded bee! It was a big fuzzy bumble bee, so very unlikely to sting anyone but Flynn was stung by wasps a couple of summers ago & since then, he's been very suspicious about all buzzing insects! Once we'd established there weren't any brambles in the area & the bee had buzzed off on its way though, he was happy enough to come stand for the required dog-in-flowers photo that we take every year in spring. I never could resist a chance to photograph a pretty little collieflower :)
