A colleague has found the lens with a EXA 1b in the basement and left to me. I was surprised:
The lens is called 'aus Jena DDR - T 2.8 / 50' but it is a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f2.8 50mm. The name was not used because of a lawsuit with Carl Zeiss in West Germany.
The lens is sharp to the edges. I also have a new Sony 2.8 / 50mm Macro. This is not sharper than the Tessar. The Sony has significantly less chromatic aberrations and is significantly less sensitive to light from the side. But sharper ... no, I think the Zeiss Jena is sharper (at 5.6). (The focal length of the Zeiss is slightly longer than that of the Sony 50mm, that does not make the comparison easy.)

Das Objektiv ist scharf. Ich habe auch ein neues Sony 2.8/50mm Macro. Dies ist nicht schärfer als das Tessar. Das Sony hat deutlich weniger chromatische Aberrationen und ist deutlich weniger empfindlich gegen Licht von der Seite. Aber schärfer ... nein, ich denke das Zeiss Jena ist schärfer (bei 5.6). (Die Brennweit vom Zeiss ist etwas länger als die vom Sony 50mm, dass macht den Vergleich nicht einfach.)
