Ode to a Soc

Minolta Autocord - Kodak Portra 160VC (converted later)

I pretty much properly left Aberystwyth for good today - one more trip with Jo and some friends from home and it's all over but as far as uni is concerned it finished today. One of the sad things is leaving the photo society that only just got going as I was leaving - they're a good bunch of people and going on trips recently has been really fun. I've just found Chester's society so will be joining that instead but...boo....and thank you photo soc! Here's the group, i'd recommend anyone check it out for a group of learning photographers hungry for sensors and celluloid :)

Aberystwyth Photography Society

Anyway, this shot is of prominent APS member Hamish having a hot chocolate in a pub near 'Devil's Bridge' - destination for the society's last meet of the uni year. When we got there it was pouring with rain so we took shelter in this pub, had a roast dinner and hot drinks - absolute bliss. Again the composition isn't great (still getting used to the TLR viewfinder) and the parallax is a bit extreme :)

For a look at the day go to Ben's blog where you'll also find some pictures of me looking rubbish.
