Old Habits Die Hard
Dad's Nikon EM
Me as a youngun' with very poor eating skills
A small break from the artsy fartsy things and still going back down through old family negatives. I don't mean to go for the cutesy factor here :) Wonderful to go back through the old family stuff. They're pretty much all already in various albums but i'm trying to think of something else to do with them.....maybe a blurb book....but let's not get ahead of ourselves. If anyone has a film negative scanner I recommend this, I feel incredibly nostalgic now :) I don't think i'll be uploading up too many, but i'm enjoying them about as much as I enjoyed what I just ate here.
Also seeing all of these shots has made me realise that I don't think I could ever feel as nostalgic about digital as I can about film. Film can be an artifact to be found years later by your kids who can scan them in and make cool books with them. I don't think that i'd ever be as excited about finding a hard drive full of photos as I would about finding some dusty old, dog eared photos. I already feel more nostalgia for film shots I took a few weeks ago than I do about digital ones I took over a year ago. I think, for me, that's the big difference.
