Union vs Kansas City_PPL Park_2013 Home Opener

I haven’t posted or taken many pictures lately…guess you could call it a slump in inspiration. Every photographer experiences it every now and then…still very frustrating…
Thankfully this past weekend was the start of the 2013 MLS season so it gave me a good excuse to grab my camera for the Union’s home opener at PPL Park. It’s so good to have a game to look forward to every weekend or so. I only took a few shots because it was really COLD and I had chosen to bring my 16-85mm to the match. It’s good for wide shots & panoramics…but not very good for capturing the action on the pitch. The match ended in a 3-1 defeat but the pain of the loss was lessened by the fact that the Union’s goalscorer was Sebastien Le Toux, who returned to the team after spells with Vancouver & New York. It was great to see him leading the team up front again. Always loved his passion and commitment to the team.
