i had to take an extended absence from flickr from january or february this year until today....i've really missed being here and probably shot fewer images this year than any year since 1975....

 

in april 2016 i checked myself in at the hospital because i was feeling tired and short of breath all the time...i was diagnosed with congestive heart failure....i started thinking...

"c'mon doc!...i'm only 29 years old!"....so i made some lifestyle changes and returned home after being released from the hospital....one week later i had a stroke while in bed watching tv!....geez i thought only old people had strokes!

 

anyway the fantastic doctors at little company of mary hospital in torrance armed with the marvels of modern medicine fixed me up and sent me home with no permanent issues from the stroke...thank god!

 

so i was feeling a bit out of sorts after that and checked meself in at marina del rey hospital again in august....and was diagnosed with colon cancer this time....geez....i thought i was too young to get cancer!....again these incredible wizards of medicine did their magic on me and removed the cancerous tumor...said it was all gone and i needed no chemo or radiation or nothing....and sent me home again....

 

wow it's nice to back among the living on flickr!

 

just thought i'd explain my first extended absence from here in over ten years and i must apologize for bending your ear!...hope you are all in good health and taking oodles of awesome images!
