‘Sombrero Galaxy’ M104, Virgo
Another attempt at imaging using the full focal length of the Celestron C8, though not very successful as it’s very soft, and doesn’t show any detail in the dust lane. That the galaxy is very low in the sky from this latitude doesn’t help. I’ve posted it anyway, for reference.
18 x 5-minute, ISO 3200, auto-guided exposures, taken with an astro-modified EOS 600D & Celestron C8 at f10.
The frames were stacked in Sequator software, and the result post-processed to increase contrast, reduce noise and adjust overall colour balance.
