365: Day 208, The Question Of The Day
Since I'm a bit run down anyway all the sight seeing yesterday really knocked the stuffing out of me. So today I concentrated on getting my energy back so I can have fun visiting my stepsister out in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada tomorrow. I had a wonderful breakfast at Cafe Gratitude, another Yo Soy Bonita, an I Am Graceful (coconut-almond frosty smoothie) and a bowl of luscious bean soup. I got there when my waitress was writing the question of the day on the chalkboard sign: What Do Your Friends Love About You? It was a bit of a stumper - my waitress suggested it was my creativity and openness (she was really interested to hear about my 365 project and loved my wacky jewelry) but in the end I decided that it was because of my humour and empathy - all of my other good qualities come and go but my friends love me anyway.
I wish I'd got the waitress' name, she very kindly let me take a photo of her for my 365.
After my breakfast I went and found that Berkeley Games stocks kites and on enquiring I found that they had one of the parafoils I've been lusting after - a twelve foot heart. I can't wait to fly it! I wanted to today, but in the end I was too tired so I had a nap instead. Hopefully I will get to fly it tomorrow. So that was my day - I had breakfast and a nap.
