long story: last week, i dropped my main lens and the drop was so intense that it made a dent on the UV filter.... i then bought a new filter to replace that one.
late last week, i was so enamored at the images produced by Lomo's that i was actually planning on buying one this week until i came across a Yahoo! Answers page. the guy who commented last gave me the inspiration to try out some crazy things with my dslr to produce the same effects the Lomo can (albeit cheaper since using several rolls of film will make a hole in your pocket).
so i then took out the dented uv filter and put some crazy things on it (front surface). in this image, i put on a 1-2mm layer of vaseline. maybe if i shot it with ISO 3200 it would produce some more grains but alas, i wasn't able to.
will try other crazy things with this filter like, putting some dirt, colored jelly, vinegar (hoping it will produce those crazy flares i had on the first images of my photostream) and even pointing artificial light like flashlights or lasers or even cigarette embers directly at view.
