Sendlinger Tor

Portão Sendigler, na extremidade sul da cidade antiga histórica de Munique. Erguido em 1318, alterado em 1906 e restaurado entre 1972 e 1982.

The Sendlinger Tor is a city gate at the southern extremity of the historic old town area of Munich. It was erected in 1318 by Ludwig the Bavarian as one of the four town gates belonging to the second ring of fortifications around the then rapidly expanding, salt trading town. The gate, which was restored between 1972 and 1982, is flanked by two medieval towers; in 1906 the original three arches were replaced by the one large single arch.

It gives its name to the Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn station.
